This Video Proves That PETA Won Big for Animals in 2016

“Animal rights will happen if we try, and we try hard. So, please, do everything you can possibly think of to do—all the time.”

–PETA President Ingrid Newkirk

PETA is the world’s largest animal rights organization, and we’re committed to doing whatever it takes to raise awareness of animal issues and improve the lives of animals every single day. We’re recognized as the number one most engaged-with advocacy organization on social media—more individuals are seeing and sharing PETA content than that of any other advocacy organization out there. Our eye-catching demonstrations, edgy campaign tactics, unprecedented victories, and refusal to back down have made 2016 PETA’s best year yet. Watch this video now to see all that we accomplished this year:

PETA’s videos racked up over 1 billion (yes, with a “b”) views this year, meaning that an average of about 2.75 million views happened each day. Working 24/7, we were able to push people to take a stand for animals by capturing harrowing eyewitness investigative footage, staying on top of the latest animal-related news, and using effective tactics to take action against abusers. Countless people have told us that a PETA video inspired them to go vegan or make other cruelty-free choices, and we’ll reach even more people as we continue to shine a light into every dark corner where animals are suffering. For every “light bulb moment” that we trigger, a new activist is born. With your help, we will see a day when no animals are abused for food, clothing, experiments, entertainment, or any other reason.

2016 was full of victories for animals. If you want to stay up to date on all of PETA’s work, be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
