Urge These Boba Tea Chains to Offer Vegan Milk Without An Unfair Upcharge
Customers are thirsty for delicious bubble tea, but Kung Fu Tea, Quickly, and other boba tea chains still charge extra for non-dairy milk—and some still don’t even carry a vegan milk option at all locations. Meanwhile, major coffee chains including Starbucks, Dunkin’, and Peet’s Coffee have all ditched their vegan milk upcharge after pressure from PETA and our supporters, and now it’s time to push boba tea companies to follow suit!
Vegan Milk Upcharges Are Unfair
More people than ever are realizing the many benefits of choosing vegan. Cows are smart, sensitive animals, but in the dairy industry, farms forcibly impregnate them, steal their previous calves from them, and keep them hooked up to machines for most of their lives. The industry also contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water scarcity. Charging more for plant milks discriminates against those who are lactose-intolerant, many of whom are people of color.
Urge These Boba Tea Chains to Offer Vegan Milk Without An Unfair Upcharge
Join PETA in telling boba tea chains that vegan milk should not come with an unfair upcharge. When businesses hear from enough customers, they often change, just as Starbucks, Dunkin’, and others did. Once you take action, another alert targeting a boba tea chain will appear. Each time you click “Take Action,” another company will receive a message from you.
