Meet some of the animals who were saved, thanks to

PETA's Investigations and Rescue Fund

The abuse that animals suffer at human hands is heartbreaking. But thanks to the efforts of PETA—and our generous Investigations & Rescue Fund donors—countless animals have been saved from lives of misery, neglect, and suffering.

Camellia and Marigold

After a concerned caller reported to PETA that an emaciated ewe and her tiny baby were being kept in a barren pen at a rural convenience store to use as living lawn mowers, PETA’s fieldworkers jumped into action. The shop owner admitted that the animals’ needs were not being met and allowed PETA to move them to greener pastures. Camellia and her lamb, Marigold, recovered in foster care while we found them a permanent home. They’re now enjoying spacious grazing areas and the company of other sheep at the reputable Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge in North Carolina.
