Help Animals Killed for Fur
Animals on fur farms spend their entire lives trapped in cramped, filthy wire cages. Fur farmers use the cheapest and cruelest methods available, including suffocation, electrocution, and poisoning. Much of the fur sold in the U.S. comes from China, where millions of animals—even dogs and cats—are tortured and even skinned alive for it.
Coyotes killed for the fur used as trim are trapped in their natural habitats and can suffer for days before eventually dying from blood loss, dehydration, frostbite, gangrene, or attacks by predators. Some, especially mothers desperate to get back to their young, have even been known to attempt to chew or twist off their legs to get free. Animals who are still alive when the trapper returns can be bludgeoned, strangled, or shot.
Whether it comes from an animal raised on a fur farm or trapped in nature, every fur coat, accessory, or trim is the product of tremendous suffering. Each year, approximately 100 million animals are killed for their fur.
