2024: Around the world, there were 366 sunsets and 366 sunrises, but for animals in Ukraine, 2024 was 366 days full of fear and danger caused by the war. Thankfully, a PETA-supported team of courageous and kind people from Animal Rescue Kharkiv is on the ground to help those who are displaced, endangered, or otherwise in need of help.

In 2024 alone, Animal Rescue Kharkiv helped 8,364 animal victims of war and, with the support of PETA’s Global Compassion Fund, achieved many wins for animals, including the following:
